Cinch Connectors has developed an epoxy potting method that will allow connectors to pass rigid helium leakage rate tests of 1 x 10-6 thru 1 x 10-9 at a lower cost than traditional fired glass or ceramic hermetic connectors. The process is adaptable to a number of different connector styles, as well as wire bundles. Applications include Military, Aerospace and Industrial where traditional glass hermetic connectors are used that meet helium leak rates between 1 x 10-6 to 1 x 10-9. Typical savings up to 60% can be attained using potted hermetics over the traditional fired glass hermetic connectors.
