CINCH INTRODUCES MODULAR INTEGRATED CONNECTOR ENCLOSURES

Lombard, IL – October 21, 2004 - Cinch is pleased to announce the addition to and expansion of its Transportation products with the introduction of a complete line of Modular Integrated Connector Enclosures. (ModICE).
The evolution and development of this product line was to compliment electronic control functions on Commercial Vehicles relating to applications in Construction, Mining, Agriculture, Industrial and On-Highway markets.
For value to the electronics customer, the line consists of two distinct enclosure sizes along with five header configurations allowing 18, 30 48 and 60 IO. The Cinch 1.5mm SHS System is the base interconnect technology.
When developing this line of products, attention was paid to design consideration surrounding electro-mechanical performance, I/O pin count, and the environmental factors of physical shock, vibration, moisture resistance, EMI shielding and heat dissipation. With respect to ECU processing, the ModICE accommodates all current soldering techniques and incorporates an easy to assemble design providing simple snap fit closure of the processed board / header into the enclosure housing.
