Optical Technology Connectors
Cinch's optical connectors are high-performance components engineered for easy integration and powerful performance in demanding applications. These connectors use an expanded beam interface, where the optical fiber’s light signal is expanded and then collimated before transmission, reducing the risk of signal loss or damage due to misalignment, dust, or vibration. Available in various configurations to support different fiber types and system requirements, these connectors ensure optimal performance for high-speed, long-distance data communication.

Mini expanded beam fiber optic connectors are designed for demanding harsh-environment applications, including military tactical communications, outside broadcast, petrochemical plants, mining, and offshore systems. The Mini expanded beam plug connector has a diameter of just 21 mm, making it ideal where size and space requirements are critical. The Mini bulkhead connector is available with D-hole, square-flange, and XLR mounting options. Low-profile versions are also available.
Fibreco® Junior connectors provide rugged fiber-optic connectivity for mission-critical applications. Engineered for repeatable optical performance and reliable hermaphroditic mating, Fibreco Junior connectors are designed in accordance with MIL-DTL-83526 (M83526)—supporting dependable signal integrity in demanding military, outside broadcast, industrial, and mining applications.
Fibreco® J-Lite expanded beam fiber optic connectors are designed as a cost-effective, reliable solution for less demanding rugged and harsh-environment applications. The thermoplastic J-Lite expanded beam connector is used across broadcast, industrial, and military applications.
The Fibreco® JCON is a high-performance connectivity solution designed to deliver reliable, low-loss optical links in demanding environments. Designed for chassis and enclosure panels, the JCON bulkhead adaptor can be used with standard off-the-shelf commercial patchcords (e.g. LC duplex) to support fast, simple installation.
The Fibreco® Senior is a high-channel-count expanded beam connector supporting up to 8 fibers, designed for high-density interconnect applications in military tactical communications, outside broadcast, petrochemical plants, mining, and offshore systems. Its robust housing can be supplied in aluminium, stainless steel, or nickel aluminium bronze to withstand harsh environments. Hybrid optical/copper versions utilising MIL-C-39029 crimp contacts are also available.
Fibreco® Maxi expanded beam fiber optic connectors are designed for the most demanding harsh-environment applications, including military tactical communications, outside broadcast, petrochemical plants, mining, and offshore systems, where high fiber counts are critical. Maxi connectors support 12 or 16 fibers and can incorporate copper contacts to create a hybrid solution.
Fibreco® 38999 Series III connectors feature the standard MIL-DTL-38999 Series III tri-start thread and a one-turn, self-locking, anti-vibration coupling mechanism, making them ideal for vehicle, land, and naval environments. Available in Size 11, 13, 15, and 17 shell configurations with jam-nut bulkhead, square-flange bulkhead, and plug styles. Connectors are available with straight, 45° or 90° backshell options, plus a choice of shell materials and plating finishes.
The MT38999 Series III is a circular fiber optic connector that integrates an MT (IEC 1754-5) ferrule within a D38999 Series III connector shell. These connectors are designed for use in the most demanding civil and military electronic equipment interface applications.
Designed specifically for military tactical communications, the Fibreco® F900 connector is available with 2 or 4 optical channels in multimode or singlemode, and can be supplied with aluminium or nickel aluminium bronze shells.
F960 expanded beam fiber optic connectors are fully compatible with Eurocom Type II legacy connectors. Designed specifically for military tactical communications, the window-lensed F960 provides a flat, easily cleanable mating surface and features a “pinless” alignment technique. It is available with 2, 4, 8 or 12 multimode optical channels.
